iSightCornwall Chief Executive, Terri Rosnau-Ward, is delighted to welcome three new Trustees. Mel Colton-Dyer, Sue Lovell and Ian Pullum, FBDO(Hons)CL offer their volunteer services and expert skills to the Board, with the aim of developing a revised business plan to reach more visually impaired people in Cornwall.
Mel Colton-Dyer is the Business Connections Manager at Cornwall Chamber of Commerce. Her passions are quality, achievement and people. She believes in responsiveness, trust and open communication. Mel loves to think creatively and see solutions rather than problems. Her main role is to introduce opportunities to businesses throughout Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly and support member businesses to develop and grow the local economy in Cornwall. Mel also represents Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and the wider business community on a number of boards and steering groups.
Sue Lovell was the Business Centre Manager at Truro – Penwith College and is described as an energetic General Manager with a strong marketing orientation, coupled with solid operational and sales experience gained in the service industry. Her key personal strengths are; creating and implementing marketing concepts which promote business growth, highly customer focused, identifies needs and recommends strategies and processes to ensure they are met confidently, strongly focused business strategist and planner, devises operationally sound strategies which enhance business development, experienced people manager and a self-starter who enjoys resolving challenges and thrives under pressure.
Ian Pullum has a family history of eye care and has been working in the industry for over 40 years; his brother is an optometrist and father used to manufacture lenses and spectacles from prescriptions. Originally from Romford in Essex, Ian married and moved to Cornwall in 1978; he worked in Batemans in Falmouth and turned self-employed in 2012. Ian was a Trustee for iSightCornwall for seven years after a break he is standing again for a further seven years. He enjoys football, cricket and rugby, classical music and opera, photography, travel, theatre and walking. His late wife Jane was heavily involved with the charity, running monthly session at The Sight Centre, in her memory Ian has remained a committed member of the Board.
