iSightCornwall and Hayle Library have been working together to highlight the advantages of talking books to people with a visual impairment.

Our Community Development Officer, Debbie Vivian has been working closely with the staff at the library who have been provided with a Sonic MP3 player for demonstration purposes. The Sonic player allows a USB stick to be played that contains a book in audio format and has simple easy to use controls, allowing those with visual impairment and dexterity issues an accessible way to listen to talking books.

Should you wish to try to Sonic player, or know somebody who would the library is located next to the Hayle Day Centre.
