We’re pleased to announce that The Sight Centre reopened on Tuesday 6 October.
We are extending our reception and shop area to create more space for social distancing. We have also installed a hand sanitising station and we ask that you wear a face covering inside the building.
Book ahead
If you are planning to visit us, please make an appointment first. To limit the number of people in the building, most staff are continuing to work from home several days a week so if you make an unplanned journey to the Sight Centre you might find that the person you want to speak to is not in on that particular day. Booking appointments also helps us to limit the number of people in the Sight Centre at any given time.
New opening hours
Please make a note of our new opening times:

Monday appointments
If you have received a letter asking you to come for a low vision or assistive technology appointment on a Monday, your appointment will still be going ahead. When you arrive at the Sight Centre, please remain outside or in your vehicle and phone the number that’s given in your appointment letter. You will then be greeted outside by a member of staff and directed through to the clinic room.
