Volunteer Cornwall

If you are isolated and struggling to cope, there is a team of volunteers across Cornwall ready to help. Volunteer Cornwall have launched a dedicated coronavirus response team with volunteers who are able to pick up essential supplies such as shopping and medication. Email requestforhelp@volunteercornwall.org.uk or call 01872 266988. They are dealing with a large number of enquiries at the moment so it may take a while for them to get back to you but they will be in touch as soon as they can.

Coronavirus support for extremely vulnerable people

If you have a medical condition that makes you extremely vulnerable to coronavirus you can register for additional support from the government for example getting deliveries of essential supplies such as food.

You can register yourself or ask someone to register for you at www.gov.uk/coronavirus-extremely-vulnerable.

If you’re not sure whether your medical condition makes you extremely vulnerable, the government advises that you register anyway. You’ll be asked for your NHS number (but you can still register if you do not have it). You can find your NHS number on any letter the NHS has sent you or on a prescription.
