We are proud to announce that Shannon Smith, Community Outreach has been named as a winner in the Cornwall ’30 under 30′.

Sponsored by Cornwall College Business and run in partnership with networking group The Hub, Cornwall Chamber of Commerce and Business Cornwall magazine, the awards celebrate Cornwall’s brightest young talents and those doing great things in the county.

Carole Theobald, Director of Operations at iSightCornwall said “Shannon joined the iSightCornwall team a little under a year ago and made an instant impact, her revolutionary approach to developing person-centred solutions has implemented a framework adopted across the whole charity. Her ability to assess and initiate things, and address each situation with a fresh perspective – at the age of 21 has been impressive. Dedicated and driven, she is committed to achieving the very best for clients and the organisation and truly deserves to be recognised for the hard work that she puts in.”

Shannon Smith said “It is an honour to have been named on the ’30 Under 30′ list alongside so many inspiring people from across the county. Every day in the UK 250 people start to lose their sight, my role allows me to provide specialist advice and support for people living with sight loss allowing them to maintain their independence. Making the list is an achievement that I am extremely proud of and I am looking forward to meeting the other winners at the award ceremony in April”.

The full story of Cornwall’s 30 under 30 will appear in a special seven-page feature in the February issue of Business Cornwall magazine.

A huge congratulations to Shannon and all of the winners who made the list, there certainly is a lot of young talent here in Cornwall!
