Heritage Ability is a Heritage Lottery Funded project aiming to help over 20 heritage sites across the South West to become more accessible to disabled visitors.
Heritage Ability has asked us to invite visually impaired people to complete a ‘mystery shopper’ experience across five Cornish sites:
- Wheal Martyn (St Austell)
- National Maritime Museum Cornwall (Falmouth)
- Levant Mine and Botallack Mine (Penzance)
- Godolphin Estate (Helston)
- Geevor Tin Mine (Penzance)
Ideally, you will have a passion for accessibility and an interest in heritage and tourism. You will need to be able to make your own way to the site but travel expenses and car parking charges are covered as are any entry fees or costs for activities for you and a sighted guide. You can visit any number of the attractions and even go back on more than one occasion. All that Heritage Ability ask in return is that you complete a short questionnaire about the attractions’ accessibility.
If you would like to take part in the project or require further information, please contact Jess on 01392 459 222 or email heritageability@livingoptions.org
