We are proud to announce that we have been working with Penlee House Gallery and Museum in Penzance to give blind and partially sighted visitors the opportunity to experience the exhibitions for the first time.

The gallery has introduced audio descriptions of key paintings which have been recorded onto the PenFriend audio labeller. These paintings have a large orange sticker next to their description. To listen to the description, visitors simply have to tap the PenFriend onto the bright orange sticker, the audio description will then play through their headphones.

Several iSightCornwall clients were also given the opportunity to create their own artwork alongside local artist, Carys Wilson. This artwork is now on display in the gallery throughout August. The same group were also invited to attend an audio described tour of the new Stanhope Forbes exhibition which is taking place at the gallery until 9 September this year.
